CONSTRUCTION at DOTTS

How can the NPORS scheme benefit your setup?

FLEXIBILITY

It’s adaptable in the way it’s delivered and it can also be delivered on location, meaning often operators can be trained in their own working environments and on equipment they will be using day in and day out.

VERSITILITY IN CERTIFICATION

Employers can select certification which suits their workforce, a project or a particular role – this one really aligns to career development and outlines levels of succession for teams which is so important for retention and developing skills.

TAILORED APPROACH

Content can be tailored to site specific needs and equipment, challenges and real work scenarios to be made relevant. This level of control and ownership of the training process fosters a culture of safety and competence.

NPORS Plant Movers Tarining

Why choose NPORS training?

If you have non-operational staff—like engineers or fitters—who need to move plant or attachments, the NPORS Plant Mover course is ideal.

This recognised qualification covers the essentials of safe plant movement, including:

> Industry best practices

> Safety responsibilities

> Correct machine handling

> Pre-operational checks

It’s a simple way to build competency, confidence, and compliance—making sure the job gets done safely and correctly.

Stay Covered, Stay Safe

If an incident happens, the first question is always: was the person trained?

Training isn’t just a box to tick—it’s your first line of defence. Without it, you could find yourself standing in front of the person in the curly wig (yes, the judge), explaining why someone was moving machinery without the right qualifications.

It’s not worth the risk—and it’s easily avoided.

We have a range of Civils and Rail equipment on our site in Ripley, and yes—NPORS will cover Rail too. That’s the beauty. Need to move RRVs in the yard? No problem.

It’s a short, cost-effective course that makes a big difference. If you haven’t considered it before, now’s the time.
