The On Track Plant (OTP) Core E-Learning is for any individual who requires to undertake On-track Plant machine controller, crane controller and machine operator duties on the Network Rail Infrastructure.
The course is designed to provide individuals with the Core knowledge required to become a machine operator or machine controller and to enable them to continue to gain further OTP Machine/Crane controller and operator competences.
From August 2023 OTP Core moved to E-Learning
This means that although OTP Core is still a pre-requisite to working as either a machine/crane controller or an operator on the infrastructure, the OTP Core module will NOT show in sentinel for anyone who has completed the E-Learning.
What does this mean?
E-Learning for OTP Core will now be available through sponsors through a platform called MOODLE and all individuals prior to booking onto their first OTP course will need to demonstrate eligibility via proof of E-Learning completion i.e. certificate prior to the event.
We are running E-learning support dates for both individuals and sponsors who would like to undertake this module with direction from our time-served OTP trainers.
