Provides the skills and underpinning knowledge required to be able to operate the Crane safely including:

The necessary pre-start and pre-work machine functional checks;
The hazards;
Risks specific to operation;
Communication protocols;
Terminology and methods used to identify components;
The operation of the host machine and attachment;
Defect monitoring;
How to use the attachment safely;
The correct and safe methods of shut down isolate and secure;
The safe use of the host machine including travelling and working;
Actions to take in an emergency situation.
